Expertise
Dr. Gangone is a nationally known writer and speaker on gender equality, with expertise in women’s education and educational equity, as well as leadership development and career advancement for women in higher education.

Publications, Presentations & Research
Dr. Gangone is a champion of women’s leadership in the new economy. She is often called upon for her expert opinion by organizations like Rocky Mountain PBS, The SmartGirls’ Way, TEDxMileHigh, and others who are interested in empowering women through education and leadership. She authored the lead article in the inaugural Journal About Women in Higher Education (2008) and a book chapter on women’s leadership development in Rethinking Leadership in a Complex, Multicultural, and Global Environment: New Concepts and Models for Higher Education (2009). She serves on the faculty of the Women’s Leadership Institute, the HERS Institutes for Women in Higher Education Administration, and the Midwest Women’s Leadership Institute, and is the leadership content expert for the American Physical Therapy Association Emerging Leaders Institute; she keynotes at various local, national, and international conferences and seminars on women’s leadership in higher education and the status of women and girls throughout education. She co-created the Institute for Emerging Women Leaders in Higher Education, an American Council on Education award-winning leadership development program. Her research interests include higher education history, with specific emphasis on women’s professional associations and women’s advancement, leadership theory and development, and voluntary associations and organizational viability.

Honors, Service & Accolades
Dr. Gangone was recently honored as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Colorado (Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce); other honors include Woman of Distinction (Girl Scouts of Colorado) and the University of Denver Center for Multicultural Excellence’s “Outstanding Achievement in Multicultural Excellence” award.  She is president-elect of the Colorado Chapter of the International Women’s Forum. Dr. Gangone serves on various boards including Public Service Credit Union (Board Secretary and Executive Committee Member), HERS: Advancing Women Leaders in Higher Education, and the Girl Scouts of Colorado as a member of their Women of Distinction selection committee. She was honored by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) as a Diamond Honoree for service to higher education and by The College of New Rochelle, which awarded her the Ursula Laurus citation. 

Education
She received an Ed.D. and M.Ed. in higher and postsecondary administration from Columbia University; an M.S. and C.A.S. in counseling psychology from the State University of New York at Albany; and a B.A. in political science from The College of New Rochelle (New York). She also was a member of the Class of 2010 Harvard Institute for Educational Management.
