History

Since its founding in 1864, the University of Denver (DU) has played an integral role in the city it calls home. The university is known nationally and internationally for preparing students to blaze trails in their chosen professions. Colorado Women's College, which became part of DU in 1982, has shared DU's commitment to academic excellence, global responsibility, community engagement and creative approaches to problem solving, while focusing on women's leadership and advancement.
