Minimum Wage Impact Report

On September 13th, 2016 the Colorado Women's College, in collaboration with The Women's Foundation of Colorado, released a seminal, nonpartisan study titled "The Impact of a $12.00 Minimum Wage on Women in Colorado." This study examines the potential impacts of an increase in the minimum wage for Colorado women and their families. Among key findings, the report predicts that the Colorado Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow by $400 million, and incomes will increase for 20% of households in Colorado.

"Strong Sisters: Elected Women in Colorado"

Strong Sisters: Elected Women in Colorado tells the extraordinary story of elected women in Colorado. This documentary film features a compilation of oral histories from past and current female elected officials, and is an official selection of the 2016 Breckenridge Film Festival.

Join filmmakers Laura Hoeppner and Meg Froelich for a talk-back immediately following the 6:30pm screening, moderated by Associate Professor Sheila Schroeder of the University of Denver's Department of Media, Film & Journalism Studies, along with Assistant Professor Sara Chatfied of the Department of Political Science.
