Rental Eligibility/Priorities

Both within and outside of DU, priority will be given to organizations/programs that are exclusively focused on the advancement of women and girls, in accordance with the building's charter.  The Chambers Center partners and current tenants (Colorado Women's College, The Women's Foundation of Colorado, and HERS-Higher Education Resource Services) have priority in reserving meeting rooms.

  • Within DU, priority will be given to DU women's organizations/programs.
  • For external organizations, priority will be given to non-profit organizations offering free programs dedicated to the advancement of women and girls.
  • For-profit organizations, nonprofit organizations charging program fees, and private individuals may rent space on an as-available basis, subject to additional rental guidelines and fees.

Rental Guidelines

  • DU policies and procedures apply to the Chambers Center.
  • The Chambers Center is not a conference facility and therefore services are limited. Organizations that wish to use this space are responsible for their own arrangements, set-up and clean-up, and communications with relevant DU divisions such as Catering, Parking and Transportation Services, Campus Safety, and Conversions.
  • The Chambers Center is a multi-use building (classes, offices, meetings) and on certain occasions organizations may be requested to change classrooms or meeting rooms.
  • Minimum rental period for rooms is two hours.
  • Events may only be held during the days and hours of operation of the Chambers Center, as determined by CWC.
  • A signed Event Reservation Agreement must be submitted to CWC at least two weeks prior to the date of the event.
  • A separate agreement applies to art exhibits in the Hirschfeld Galleries. However, the Event and Meeting Space Guidelines pertain to any events such as exhibit openings.
